Patient Care and Surgery Changes

Healthcare service with a focus on safety

OhioHealth is continuing to put the safety of our patients, associates and providers first. If you’ve been waiting for care, there’s no better time to call your provider. Here’s what you need to know.

Patient care information

The best way to seek nonurgent care now is to call your providers office. They may recommend an office visit or one of our virtual health options, like telehealth video visits, a primary care E-Visit, or an urgent care video visit. Use our Find a Doctor search tool if you need one.

If you are experiencing life-threatening symptoms, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Our hospital and freestanding emergency departments are prepared to safely address any emergency.

Visitor restrictions have changed for inpatient care. See our visitor policies.

OhioHealth is performing inpatient and outpatient surgical care.

  • You will receive information directly from your physician's office about your upcoming procedures, and where to go if you need testing.
  • If you are scheduled for a surgery or procedure with anesthesia or sedation at an OhioHealth facility, you must be tested for COVID-19 within 96 hours of your procedure. Learn more about the testing process here.

OhioHealth physician offices and ambulatory locations are delivering in-office care.

  • Please call your provider or location to confirm hours of operation.
  • If you have been putting off seeking care, we encourage you to reach out to your physician as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.
